Rocking in Qatar

I’ve just had a fantastic call with our business partners in Qatar, nothing to do with the super choice and jobs on Dinosaur World we are creating but never-the-less another reason to celebrate being in business. It’s interesting that two quite different cultures find a middle ground and a common way to work together, I’m very excited about the prospects of working with our friends in Qatar, more so for learning about business in another part of the world and the culture that we will be immersed in – it’s what keeps us going and the more that we can be stimulated in our business life the more that flows into our personal lives, must keep the brain ticking over and healthy.

Taking Shape

It’s all go here at the Dino Lab, we got very excited on Friday when Ninja-Saw-Us got our ‘own’ dino’s up and moving around the home scene – it’s was fantastic to see all the hard work he has put into the architecture come to fruition and it was very cool to see the Dino-Saw-Us take a large step into reality.

Beside the technical side of life Shells-Saw-Us had made pretty impressive progress on the story and the Ferocious Five have been created, the first adventure is great fun and will give the world a real life to it – it now seems to be ‘living’. The Dino-Saw-Us news is taking shape and we are looing forward to the first feedback from the ‘kids on the block’ – I’m sure they will tell us if it is good or not. Will-a-meana is making great progress on animating the scenes and the first one will be handed over tomorrow to ‘plug-in’… bring it on.

The school is scheduled for ‘foundations down’ in two weeks but there is a heap of pre-work that’s needed, we have been copy-writing furiously and have enough to initially make a start but this is an enormous task and one that we have underestimated.

Starting the new year

After spending the last few weeks trying not to think about DinoSawUs I back onboard and excited about what the new year will have installed for us, we start it with a little bit of trepidation and allot of optimism. I’ve seen for the first time the inside of the diner and the last chance cafĂ©’ and they are have exceeded my expectations – it’s great having and working with such a cleaver bunch of people. Ninja-Saw-Us has a bit of a flat forehead from banging it against his desk over the past few weeks but finally feels now that the architecture is heading in the right direction.

Looking forward to tomorrow already, will spend tonight looking for a new game to customise for the lava rapids … this is the fun part.

Later slaters.
